OneDigital Investment Advisors, the RIA subsidiary of OneDigital, says it has acquired three offices of retirement plan-focused wealth management practice Vertical Financial Group.
The acquisition will bring OneDigital $1 billion in assets across 80 retirement plans, as well as more than $160 million in assets Vertical Financial manages for more than 400 households, OneDigital says.
As part of the deal, the financial terms of which the companies didn’t disclose, Vertical Financial will operate under OneDigital’s RIA, the company says.
Vertical Financial’s partnering financial advisors Laura Scobee, Brad Harris and Thomas Parker will maintain their current offices in St. Louis, Mo., Overland Park, Kan., and Chicago and assume the titles of senior vice president, OneDigital says.
Brett Dankowski, who also works out of the Chicago office and currently serves as financial advisor as well as Vertical Financial’s director of client services, will join OneDigital under the new role of retirement plan consultant, the company says.
In February 2020, OneDigital announced that it was acquiring the $45 billion Kansas-based RIA Resources Investment Advisors.
Founded two decades ago, Atlanta-based OneDigital now has more than 100 offices and 2,000 “business strategists” serving over 50,000 employers across the country, the company says.
